The name and logo “ ghatsam” is an acronym derived from consolidating that which has instinctively become an ongoing passion for us; namely Golf, Hunting, Arranged Tours, Selling and Marketing. hence “ghatsam”
The word “ghatsam” could also phonetically be misconstrued as a combination of two Afrikaans words “ gaat saam” and the “slang” pronunciation thereof would be “ghatsam”.( quite literally meaning “go with”) or alternatively pronounced in English ( “get sam”)
It’s with this “ghatsam” (go with!!) passion that Sam Fourie has been arranging many successful, memorable and commendable hunting and golfing tours for various individuals and corporate alike over the past 15 years.
Sam launched this initiative prior early retirement last year (2010) with TWO fundamental principles in mind, which he believes YOU, the potential client will find satisfactory and tailor made for your specific budget.
1] He believes that by giving you, the Customer more than what you expect would encourage further interest and exploration of what is on offer by “ghatsam” Events, both locally at home or from abroad.
2] Keeping within your anticipated budget by negotiating favourable rates on your behalf using our personal relationships cemented with our numerous network of Golfing and Hunting resources, throughout the Western & Southern Cape and if need be, including the Eastern Cape regions of South Africa.

Ghatsam Events: Planning and Coordinating
Arranging and planning vacations from abroad (or even locally!!) are often a nightmare, especially considering that it’s either always the uncertainty factor that is bothersome or the inhibiting monetary costs. This is further escalated when having to do this solely via the Internet or your local travel agent. Not having the so called “local know how” of where to stay and what to do, does compound matters even more! By not having the proverbial “word of mouth” piece of mind, one seems at a total loss and unsure??........a gamble!!
Ghatsam Events does exactly that; our personal interaction with you in planning and arranging your golfing or hunting events in and around Cape Town – South Africa, hopefully diminishes the “uncertainty factor” and brings closure to those “bothersome tasks” that could become “events and holiday nightmares”.

To succeed in “tailor making” any event/excursion one first needs to establish the boundaries of expectations between customer and organiser/ coordinator.
Our aim is to fulfil your expectations by you telling us What you expect from the event ( keeping the end result in mind ! ) and we’ll establish how best we are able to incorporate local tariffs/ rates using our contacts and resources to benefit your planned expenditure budget.
No stereotyping pre- arranged tours and hunts. Your way becomes Sam's Way, or No Way!!
Each enquiry will be customised for each customer to fulfil his/her family /corporate expectation.
Whilst unforeseen changes/ cancellations are inevitable, we’ll always have an alternative arrangement to consider, with your approval and acceptance, of course.
It will be as if you were arranging everything yourself, but the only difference being the use of our local knowledge, expertise and personal intervention on your behalf.
